The 59th Geomechanics Colloquy will be held in Salzburg on October 7th to 8th, 2010. 

Follow-up to the 58th Geomechanics Colloquy

A workshop dealing with the influence of the EUROCODE 7 on tunnel design was held prior to the Colloquy, attracting around 200 participants.
The topic "Interdisciplinary conflicts in tunnel design" attracted about 250 participants.

The Geomechanics Colloquy attracted around 850 participants from 23 nations. 
More than 50 companies presented their products and services in the exhibition.
Besides participating in interesting presentations and discussions, there was enough opportunity to renew old contacts and form new ones.
